I downloaded the sourcecode and opened the Bifrost solution and just simply tried to run it and I am getting this error:

Error 36 Unable to copy file "obj\Debug\Bifrost.dll" to "bin\Debug\Bifrost.dll". Access to the path 'obj\Debug\Bifrost.dll' is denied. Bifrost

Hi,

which Solution file are you trying?  The Bifrost.sln is the one to use, in fact I should remove the others.

Yep, I am trying to just build the Bifrost.sln

I'm cloning it into a clean machine as we speak - will try it there and see what it could be. Potentially it is the Silverlight project that gets in the way.

I have tried everything I can think of to get rid of the error, you could be right about the Silverlight project getting in the way, I am not sure.

I know this doesn't help much, but "It works on my machine"..   Just tried it on a clean machine with only VS2010 and TortoiseHG on it.

Do you by any chance have AutoTest/Mighty Moose or something similar running that could be locking the file?  Or TestDriven.net for that matter?

No, I don't have any of those installed on my machine, well, this at least singles out my machine.  This error does happen for both the silverlight and bifrost solutions.  It's very strange.

Very strange indeed.

Could you try to remove the SL project, there aren't really any dependencies to it.
If that doesn't help, maybe we could schedule a remote desktop session using TeamViewer or similar.

I removed it and it only removed the silverlight access denied error.

I am getting ready to clean my machine and start fresh so let me do that and I will update this discussion.  I haven't cleaned this machine in probably 3 years, lol.

Ok. I'll sit tight. Keep me posted and I'll help as good as I can.
